DISCARDING OLD TECH EQUIPMENT

As we all know, technology changes fast.  With these changes comes the need and/or desire to get the latest and greatest.  This may leave you or your business with equipment that you don't know what to do with.

There are several options available but the key is to make sure you choose an option that does not include throwing the equipment in the trash.  In the past it was difficult at times to find locations willing to take old equipment, but that has gotten much easier now that Best Buy has joined in on the effort.  Here are some of the best options available for recycling your old equipment:
  1. Donate the equipment to a school or charity
  2. Take the equipment to the nearest Best Buy (program details)
  3. Contact the manufacturer as most have recycling programs now
  4. Find a recycling company via the EPA web site
